This is for the Sunday Challenge at Dottie's World which is to make a card featuring animals, birds or bugs....and I have used all three in Dottie's cat, the tiny bug on the sentiment and a new Papermania owl stamp.

Cute Card Thursday - Things That Grow

A new challenge for me and it's at Cute Card Thursday - 'Things That Grow'............

"The obvious things would be plants etc but really there are lots more things that grow, we look forward to seeing your own interpretations!"

I have been dying to use this gorgeously cute stamp from Little Claires for ages and what a perfect opportunity. The image is coloured with Prismacolour pencils, and I just love the baby elephant.

Dotty paper is Lasting Impressions 'Strawberry Parfait' (what a mouthwatering name!), and the other is DCWV 'Nursery Baby Girl'.
Thanks for visiting and I would love to see your comments.

Daring Cardmakers - Spot The Difference

And another challenge completed, this time Daring Cardmakers.....boy, am I having fun!

"Hi, it's Rhi here this week to dare you, and it's...Journalling spots. They're used all the time in scrapbooking where it's extra personal to read someone's words and memories in their own hand. Use a journalling spot, be it stamped, premade, handcut, digital or doodled, to frame your handwritten message on your card. Have a look at the cards we've made, then share your creations by leaving a link, I dare you!"

I used Basic Grey Euphoria papers for this (I hated them at first, but love them now!!), my fave Prima flowers and, of course, the lovely Tilda coloured with Prismacolour pencils. The journalling stamp is Papermania and the brads are Doodlebug Sugar Coated.

Thanks for visiting, Juliet xxx

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge #11

Here is my card for the challenge over at Dottie's World - this week to use some of those papers at the bottom of the pile which you thought you'd never use......AND, there's a fabulous prize on offer!

The paper consigned to the bottom of my ever-growing pile of papers is the background, but it's perfect for this card, and I added glaze to the sun, which is why it's reflecting at you! The other papers are K&Co Berry Sweet speciality, the grass is a Sizzix die, apples from a punch and the sentiment from Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine - available from http://charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/ I used 'Back to School Dottie', also from Charmed, and coloured her with Prismacolour pencils.

And more Tilda.....

I have long been an admirer of the ribbon rosettes created by Pam and, although she decided to take her instructions for making them off her blog due to a nasty remark, I have put together my own version. This is my first attempt and I think it will be the first of many!

Papers are Blonde Moments (I think) and I love the citrussy colours. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy what's left of the weekend.

Yet another Tilda....

I have to admit that I have received a few parcels lately and the scrumptious new goodies have given me some inspiration, especially with my Tilda stamps. Paper is Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie 'Megan' (all from one piece) from http://charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk and the flowers are Prima, Heidi Grace and Making Memories. The arrow brads came in a kit eons ago. I coloured Tilda with Sakura stardust then went over some areas with Prizmacolour Pencils, which gives a texture to the image.

Don't forget to pop over to Dottie's World tomorrow for another fabby challenge.

Daring Cardmakers - 'Cards with a certain a-PEEL OFF', eeek!

It's been a while since I had chance to do the dare over at http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com so as my lovely boss gave me the afternoon off, I thought I would join in again, and here it is:

"You can blame Keryn with her rather lovely cool colours dare last week (great cards all BTW!) for the inspiration for this week. I found that I needed to use a peel off and was quite pleased with the results and that got me thinking of a fiendish dare. At least it is for me (Lythan) who is often disparaging of the much maligned shiny sticker. But actually there are some really nice examples of the genre around now. And also people who can do all sorts of gorgeous things with peel off stickers that I would not have thought of. Are you one of them?
So go on, rummage around in your craft stash and
Make a card with Peel Offs"

Well, I fumbled about at the bottom of a box of unused stash and unearthed these white flower peel offs which I thought I may be able to bring myself to use. Now, I'm not a peel off snob, I have seen people do amazing things with peel offs, but they're just not my cup of tea.......I may have changed my mind though after using these.
Papers are Daisy Bucket, white flower peels offs stuck on Bazzil Bling and hand cut, paper flowers Making Memories, Tilda of course and a touch of glitter glue. Turned out much better than I could have hoped.

New Card....Tilda

I've been told off today for being a bad blogger. Some of the ladies at Happy Crafters were complaining so, just for you, (and you know who you are!!!) here is one of the many cards I have made recently, but not had time to upload.
Paper is We Are Memory Keepers, Scrapagogo scalloped dots stamp, Prima flower and Penny Black Polka Run stamp for the edges. Tilda with Teddy is coloured using Prismacolour pencils, and the sentiment is a Dovecraft stamp.

I'll try to keep more up to date 'cos I don't like being told off!

Nearly forgot to say, there are more new images over on http://dotties-wonderful-world.blogspot.com if you would like to take a look - they really are fabarooney!
TFL,
Juliet xx
